Terms of service
The short version: use Meddio honestly, we'll serve you clearly, and medical decisions always belong to qualified doctors.
1. Who we are
Meddio ("we", "us") operates a family health platform from Brahmapur, Odisha, India — offering medicine delivery, diagnostic tests, doctor consultations and family health records. These terms cover the Meddio website and early-access programme today, and the platform when it launches. By using Meddio, you agree to them.
2. Meddio is not for emergencies
If someone is facing a medical emergency, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Meddio is not an emergency service and must not be relied on in situations needing urgent care.
3. Medical care and information
- Consultations on Meddio are provided by independent, registered medical practitioners. Medical advice, diagnoses and prescriptions come from them — not from Meddio.
- Explanations of reports and health information on Meddio are for understanding only. They are not a diagnosis and never replace a doctor's judgment.
- Prescription medicines are dispensed only against a valid prescription, verified by a licensed pharmacist.
4. Telemedicine consent
By booking an online consultation you consent to receive care through telemedicine, in line with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. Telemedicine has limits — the doctor may decide your situation needs an in-person examination, and may decline to prescribe where an examination is required. You agree to share accurate health information during consultations.
5. Your account and family grants
- You must be 18 or older to create an account, and provide accurate information.
- Keep your login safe; activity on your account is your responsibility.
- Add family members only with their consent. Members can see their own records, and grants can be revoked at any time.
6. Orders, payments and delivery
- Prices, availability and delivery timelines are shown before you confirm an order. Delivery estimates depend on location, availability and verification.
- Payments are processed by licensed payment partners.
- You can cancel an order before it is dispatched for a full refund to the original payment method.
- Medicines can be returned or refunded only as permitted by law and our then-current returns policy shown at purchase — for example, wrong, damaged or expired items delivered. Refunds are processed within 7 business days of approval.
- A medicine is never substituted with another brand or formulation without your consent.
- Booked diagnostic tests and consultations can be cancelled or rescheduled up to the time shown at booking.
7. Fair use
Don't misuse Meddio — including attempting to obtain prescription medicines without a valid prescription, impersonating others, accessing records you have no grant for, or interfering with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Meddio accurate, available and safe, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Meddio's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service concerned. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
9. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be communicated clearly. You may stop using Meddio and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Brahmapur, Odisha have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Grievance redressal
If something goes wrong, we want to hear about it. Write to our grievance team at grievance@meddio.in. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days. The name and contact details of the designated Grievance Officer will be published here before public launch, as required under the Information Technology Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
